The sex style responsible for penile fracture

A study that was published in the journal of Advances in Urology concluded that the “woman on top” position was the potentially riskiest sex position that caused the most penile fractures.

The study explained, “our hypothesis is that when the woman is on top she usually controls the movement with her entire body weight landing on the erect penis, not being able to interrupt it when the penis suffers a wrong way penetration, because the harm is usually minor in woman with no pain but major in the penis."


HOW WOULD YOU KNOW YOU HAVE A PENILE FRACTURE


A penile fracture is an emergency medical condition that can lead to long-lasting damage to a man’s sexual and urinary function but is a rare and alarming injury that may occur during sexual intercourse.
It is usually a rupture in the two areas of the penis that are responsible for erections: the corpora cavernosa and the penile sheath.


But how would you know that you have a penile fracture? Here are the symptoms of a penile fracture:
-Bleeding from the penis
-Having trouble urinating
-Hearing a cracking or popping sound
-Experiencing dark-colored bruising to the penis
-Losing an erection suddenly
-Pain that varies from minimal to severe
Research however shows that penile fracture symptoms that do not involve a rapid loss of erection or a popping sound are usually due to another type of injury. Rarer clinical features of a penile fracture include swelling in the scrotum and blood in the urine.

EXAMINATIONS CLINICAL OFFICERS COUNCIL (COC) SEPTEMBER EXAM The Clinical officers council  (COC) examinations for clinical medicine students across the country will be done on 11th and 12th September, 2018. The exam rehearsals will be done on 11th September 2018 and the examination will be done on the next day. The payment for the exams is Kshs 5,000 which are to be paid via MPESA.
